MEETINGS

In 2011 The Access Group will usually meet on the third Wednesday of each month from 11 to 1 in Cradoc Road Youth Centre, Brecon LD3 9LG.

Meeting dates:  19 October, 16 November

These meetings discuss policies and issues affecting the whole area covered by Brecknock Access Group and provide an opportunity for local sub-groups to share their experiences and activities. Representatives of the police, Brecon Beacons National Park, Powys County Council, Brecon Town Council and Disability Powys often attend the meetings, providing a useful channel of communication on planning, access to public spaces and buildings, and the removal of obstructions and hazards on roads and pavements. Anyone with an interest in these matters is welcome to come to our meetings.

Local sub-groups discuss and take action on similar issues specifically affecting their community. At the moment there are three active sub-groups but we are seeking volunteers to start a sub-groups in Crickhowell and would like to hear from people in Hay to re-activate their sub-group.

The Brecon sub-group usually meets in the Cradoc Road Youth Centre at 11 on the second Wednesday of alternate months.
Meeting dates:  9 November

The Ystradgynlais sub-group meets in the Library Hall at 11 on the first Wednesday of each month.
Meeting dates: 2 November

The Builth Wells sub-group holds its meetings at the Riverside Community Hall at 11 on the fourth Monday of each month.
Meeting dates: 24 October, 28 November

For further details of meetings please contact the Access Group office or the sub-groups as given on the Contacts page.
